Go Lower is a UK based premium food delivery service
which aims to encourage its dieters to lose weight by
following a simple, gym-free meal plan, delivered weekly
to their homes. Go Lower prides itself on providing its
customers with the opportunity to get slim by eating
tasty, all natural foods, as opposed to the powders or
shakes which are favored by other companies (and from
which dieters naturally find it difficult to transition
back to real food). We were particularly impressed by
this appreciation of the long term that seems to permeate
the service provided by Go Lower. The Go Lower diet is
also advocated by Dr. Hilary Jones, the medical expert on
the GMTV morning television show.
The Go Lower diet program is based on a diet casually
referred to as the 'caveman diet'. This diet prompts the
body to enter a state of ketosis, that is, the body burns
fat reserves to create usable energy, resulting in rapid
weight loss. This 'caveman diet concentrates on just a
few key elements - protein (from meat and chicken), good
fats (from nuts and seeds) and specific carbohydrates
(from leafy vegetables and low GI fruit). Go Lower works
on a five-phase program, intended to support the dieter
throughout their association with the Go Lower diet.
Firstly, your personal Go Lower consultant will explore
what you want to achieve with the diet, most notably what
your weight loss goals are, and then personalize your
program to match these desires. The second stage of the
program is where customers eat only Go Lower meals, and
vegetables, thus ending a reliance on starchy,
carbohydrate rich foods. During this period, dieters see
a substantial weight loss as well as beginning to feel
more energized. In the third and fourth stage, Go Lower
begins to introduce snacks and treats, both to improve
motivation and develop how the body copes with the
introduction of small amounts of carbohydrates. During
this period, users begin to transition away from the Go
Lower food deliveries, beginning to cook meals for
themselves from a set of Go Lower recipes. By the time
that dieters reach the final stage, they are ready to
discuss how to maintain their new healthy weight with a
nutritionist and transition fully into cooking for
themselves to maintain their new weight.
Go Lower customers can also get access to a range of
additional features which will no doubt prove useful,
especially as users begin to transition away from eating
just the meal deliveries. From the beginning of the
program, dieters have access to the recipes from which
the Go Lower meals are cooked ' thus encouraging dieters
to cook these meals when the meal deliveries end. The Go
Lower site also hosts a member forum, so that users can
discuss their experiences of the Go Lower program with
other dieters. Dieters can also use a great Eating-Out
guide, to help them make smart restaurant decisions that
won't break the diet. With all this, and an average
weight loss of 2-3lbs per week, Go Lower is an excellent
way to lose weight.
The Go Lower program operates in a similar fashion as
many of the other meal delivery diet programs available
on the market today. What we liked, though, was the fact
that Go Lower emphasizes to dieters that there is a life
outside of the Go Lower program, and takes steps to
ensure that when the program ends, dieters will be fully
equipped to cook healthy, balanced meals for themselves.
The range of useful tools and choice of payment options
also makes Go Lower an excellent choice if you're looking
for a meal delivery plan in the UK. Click the button below to check out GoLower.co.uk for yourself...
