The reason I gave this company an overall score of 1 star is because of the complete lack of customer service when you attempt to cancel or unsubscribe from your membership.
The site itself was fairly easy to use, the expert contributors are engaged and give good advice, but the online community support is almost non-existent. There is a group of maybe 5-10 people who are on there regularly, and for the most part when you do make a "Diet Buddy" they're engaged and supportive for perhaps a week, then go quiet.
For all of the extras on the site, I really only used the Meal & Exercise trackers, which aren't very up to date, and don't include a very large variety of exercise choices.
The real problem with this site is what happens if you decide to cancel your membership. Based on what I described above, I felt like I wasn't getting my money's worth. When I signed up I read their cancellation policy very carefully, and when I made the decision to cancel I followed their instructions to the letter. They however, in what I believe was an attempt to draw out my time and thus keep me from receiving a refund minus a $25.00 early cancellation fee, ignored all attempts and requests on my part to follow their own cancellation policy. I emailed daily to cancel my membership, with no response. I finally tracked down a phone number, was given the brush off the first time I called, and then was given no answer at all the next time, only getting an automated message that the mail box was full.
I ended up filing a complaint with the BBB which is still under review, the company did finally get in touch with me after that, claiming their emails to me must have gotten placed in my spam folders (they did not, I was checking my spam daily) they apologized for the confusion and stated I would receive a FULL refund and quoted me the amount - but when I checked my statement I was still charged the $25.00 cancellation fee. When I pointed out that the amount they refunded me was not the amount they quoted me in their correspondence, they said they'd look into it and have again stopped communicating.
Overall, for the hassle, and the lack of any real tools to use for your diet - go elsewhere.
 In summary, I would not recommend Diet.com to a friend.
