I tried the diet for one month but it was not my thing. 2-weeks into the month, i called and canceled my future orders and thought i was done with it. then i got a call asking to confirm my next shipment. i called right back (4/5/19) and was on hold for over 20 minutes and still no one answered. i then used my other phone to call the same number but selected sales and someone answered within seconds. when i told them i had canceled my future orders and wanted to make sure this was confirmed, the woman told me to hold on and she would transfer me. when i explained i had been on hold for a long time and had previously canceled my future orders two weeks earlier, she told me she had no record of that and that i had to be transferred to someone who could cancel my order. she then asked if i wanted to update my payment information, which made no sense since i had canceled my order. i told her i was not able to wait on hold any longer since i was on a lunch... This food, in my opinion, has little taste to bad tasting meals. The shakes are no better. A MUCH better drink is Slim Fast with 20 Grams of protein and a good taste. I also missed the two months requirement so must pay an extra $125 to quit. I was trying to eat it. My husband went and purchased Lean Cuisine dinners because he felt sorry for me. I have all these unused dinners. I am so disappointed. They are advertised as great tasting, but they are not.

The concept may be good: the meals aren't.

This review is for the cost and the taste of meals only.

Just wanted to share my experience with the meal delivery service that was offered from South Beach. I decide to try it for it one month to help jump start me on low carbs. While I signed up for it online I missed the fine print of having to have 2 months delivered. It was very upsetting to find out that when I canceled after the first month there was a cancelation fee of $125.00 The monthly meal delivery is not cheap at $300 so I decided to get hit with the fee and was very frustrated with the whole process in trying to cancel.

So be prepared... You really taking a chance on a meal plan for 60 days, not 30.

In summary, I would not recommend South Beach Diet to a friend.

I lost about 25 pounds 9 years back on South Beach, over 6 months. Plus: The low glycemic diet was particularly helpful with cravings IF you stay on the diet. Phase 1 (2 weeks) is particularly challenging, but I lost 7 pounds (not the dramatic amounts some people do, however I am older and shorter.) Minus: It is difficult to use some of the leftover foods if you stay on their menu. However you could customize your menu using their daily nutrition guide.
I had gained back wight and decided to go back last November. Unfortunately I found the web site has changed dramatically, and is now much less user friendly. The web site's daily tracking and planning tools are cumbersome and difficult to use with a lot of bugs. Much of the past community strings with recipes for the various phases are gone, which had been a huge plus for me. you can't print shopping lists. There are constant pop-ups and even an annoying popup obscuring my attempt to cancel online. I managed to unschedule the automated payment, but received no refund.

Be sure when you sign up you get the 7 days free "promotion" they don't always tell you about it. If you come to southbeachdiet.com from an advertisement instead of directly your "promotion" will be different. You MUST sign up to figue out if the tools are any good. Then if you want to cancel, as I did, you might find out you still have to pay for some or all of your 3 month committment. After one day they didn't want to give me any refund at all!

The tools are not value for the money. $4 per DAY then many upsells for tools that are marginally useful.
